Prayer is a bridge that connects God and us. It is not that we pray to Him every day to build a relationship, rather we pray or talk out of the relationship we have as sons and daughters. Eventually, there is no specific or systematic routine in prayer time like singing 2 songs, next bible reading, next reciting few verses and finishing by listing out all the prayer points. It will not work out the same way every day. Effective prayer will be guided by the Holy Spirit, a sincere act born from a sincere heart.

As we like to talk to God he too yearns to communicate with us because we pray to a living God who has mind, will and emotions as we do. One of the wonderful verse in the bible says,

“The Lord your God in your midst,
The Mighty One will save;
He will rejoice over you with gladness,
He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing.”- ZEPHANIAH 3:17 NKJV

Can you imagine God, the Creator of the whole universe is rejoicing over us with singing? He does not always rule with sticks commanding us with a daring voice like an army officer. The God we serve is a loving Father who wants His children to come willfully sharing their emotions, in turn, He too wants His heart to be shared.

All these following we can experience in PRAYER TIME:

He appreciates us, encourages us, listens to us patiently,

He expresses his heartache, His thought, His plan, His counsel,

Gives His promise for the situation, a Word of blessing,

The revelation of the Word, etc.

Even at times you can see or feel God smiling at you.

At the same time, he never hesitates to correct us when we go wrong and warn us when we go extreme.Nevertheless, he’ll not go down the line for His respect, honour and holiness. HE IS GOD OF ALL FLESH.

A renowned quotes says,

“A quite time with the Lord is the powerful time in the battle field”

The quality time we spend daily with the Lord gives us so much confidence and satisfaction that we feel His presence, guidance and control all the rest of the day. Yes, that’s the power of prayer.
