1.Unforgiveness: DREADFUL DISEASE
The following information is from the source of ‘cbn’ where we find this attribute as an extremely vicious, life-threatening if not handled swiftly:
*Unforgiveness is classified in medical books as a disease.
*Of all cancer patients, 61 percent have forgiveness issues, and of those, more than half are severe.– so,forgiveness therapy is now being used .
*Harbouring these negative emotions, this anger and hatred, creates a state of chronic anxiety.
*Chronic anxiety very predictably produces excess adrenaline and cortisol, which deplete the production of natural killer cells, which is your body’s foot soldier in the fight against cancer.

Considering these scientific facts, the scripture quoted by Paul in Ephesians 4:26,27 is proven to be 100 percent true – “In your anger do not sin: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold”. And thus, persistent anger opens the door for an enemy to inflict us with diseases and bondages.
2. HEAVEN IS CLOSED
In Matthew 18, we read ‘the forgiving story’ told by Jesus-The officer was forgiven 10,000 talents ($ 10,000,000 in Amp Bible) by the King. But he (the officer) could not forgive his fellow worker who owed him just 100 denarii ($20). Finally, when the King heard of his merciless behaviour, he judged the officer to be thrown in jail, where he could not be freed until he pays back his old debts which is not possible at all.
Moreover, we hear a lot of testimonies from people witnessing about their relatives being in hell for the only reason of unforgiveness.
Imagine, someone pleads for forgiveness and we refuse every time (for the valid cause). God will forgive them if they truly seek His pardon but now we become the sinner in God’s sight though we have good justification on our side.
We are striving so hard every single day pleasing God in every way to inherit His kingdom. And we couldn’t wait to see the sweet lovely face of our Lord Jesus when we go to heaven one day. Can we allow this one quality to prevent us from heaven? No, no, not at all.
So, let’s take time to search our own hearts to check if we have such resentment against someone. Maybe it’s your time to forgive your parents who do you blame for your present bitter life – or your spouse or boss or companions or in-laws and even your own child who brought terrible shame by his/her wayward life.
Remember! God always wants our lives to be better, not bitter. So, let go and let it go.
May the Lord grant us His grace to come out of the box to live healthily in soul, spirit, and body for His glory!
